The weather is just a warning….

I hear the trumpet. I hear the Lord saying, “There’s a famine in the land and calamity is coming…

Declare in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say: “Blow the trumpet in the land; Cry, ‘Gather together,’ And say, ‘Assemble yourselves, And let us go into the fortified cities.’ Set up the standard toward Zion. Take refuge! Do not delay! For I will bring disaster from the north, And great destruction.” The lion has come up from his thicket, And the destroyer of nations is on his way. He has gone forth from his place To make your land desolate. Your cities will be laid waste, Without inhabitant. For this, clothe yourself with sackcloth,
Lament and wail. For the fierce anger of the Lord Has not turned back from us.” .
…Jeremiah 4:5-8

But even in the midst of the famine and the calamity, there’s another word from the Lord saying, If you will return, O Israel,” says the Lord“Return to Me; And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved. And you shall swear, ‘The Lord lives,’ In truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; The nations shall bless themselves in Him, And in Him they shall glory.”…Jeremiah 4:1-2

For some reason many believe that they can live any old kind of way, and everything will be alright. Beloved, that’s simply not the case. Many have been skirting around the word of truth, judgment, and righteousness, but God says, “no more.”

It’s time to make our election sure! It’s time out for fence straddling! It’s time to turn our heart’s to the Lord and live for Him, in all that we say and do. We keep looking for local leaders and politicians to make things better for us, but God says, “that was never His intent.”

Someone may be asking, “Well what do I do?

First things first: Repent and turn to God wit your whole heart…“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land…2 Chronicles 7:14

Then, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you…Matthew 6:33
