“Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear; for they are a rebellious house…Ezekiel 12:2
As a Saul journeyed to Damascus something happened. He had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. When Saul set out on his journey, his plans weren’t to surrender his life to God, but Saul had a date with destiny that he knew not of. Saul was living in rebellion to God’s word, God’s will, and God’s way, therefore, it was IMPOSSIBLE for Saul to see what God’s purpose, path and plan for his life was..
“…Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me….Acts 9:4
When you’re living in rebellion to God, you’re living with low vision. Low vision is seeing, but not seeing. It’s seeing in the natural, but having no clue of what’s going on in the spirit realm.
As Saul journeyed to Damascus, God supernaturally intervened, causing Saul’s spiritual blindness to be coupled with a physical blindness…
“Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one…Acts 9:8
This was by divine design, because God had to deal with and deliver Saul, before he could become Paul and discover his purpose. God had to deal with and purge Saul’s rebellious heart, so that He could walk in the imputed righteousness of God.
Some of us are just like Saul, we’re living in rebellion to God’s word, will and way. We’re living with low vision. We see, but we don’t see. We see things in the natural, but remain clueless to what’s spiritually going on around us. My prayer is that the word of God will prick our hearts, so that we can fully surrender our lives to God, before we too have a Damascus experience.
God has a purpose, path and plan for all of our lives, but we’ll never see the manifestation thereof, as long as we’re living in rebellion towards God. Living in rebellion towards God is just like a child who knows the rules that their parents have set, but are hell bent and determined on walking in a different direction.
Beloved, the wages of sin is still death, regardless of what WE THINK WE’RE GETTING AWAY WITH…
No matter where we are or what we’re dealing with, GOD SPECIALIZES…
Saul started this journey to Damscus living in rebellion towards God, but God pricked his heart, and supernaturally anointed Ananias as a Spiritual Ophthalmologist, to help Saul receive his physical and spiritual sight.
Are you living with low vision?
