Labor shortage..

America’s labor shortage is skyrocketing! But what’s interesting about this is the fact that this deficiency is being sorely realized in the blue collar positions. These are typically the hands on positions. They’re those jobs that are truly the spoke in the wheels that make EVERY organization go around and around. Blue Collar positions, while critically necessary, are also the ones less desired or applied for.

As I sat this morning the Lord said something to me that made a whole lot of sense! “NOW PEOPLE SEE HOW I FEEL!” All of a sudden He began saying:

This is nothing new, I’ve seen it before
I saw it as I walked the earth to and fro
As I taught, preached and healed all the people’s dis-eases
I looked around for some help cause there was sorely a need
With compassion, I looked in every nook and cranny
for someone to help out that poor ole’ granny
but every where I looked, many I never found
cause nobody wanted their hands to touch the ground
the dirt, the dust, the earth, the grime
nothing’s changed, just the TIME!

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun….Ecclesiastes 1:9..

“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest…..Matthew 9:35-38…

  1. I really like this post, Anthony. To me there is nothing more gratifying then getting my hands dirty. I LOVE the feeling of stepping back knowing I created something. God is so right. Only times have changed. 🤗

  2. This was not only convicting but felt like a warning of sorts. As believers, many times we pick and chose out “jobs” when we need to walk in obedience and be willing to do whatever it is the Lord asks/commands us to do. We can’t only chose the “easy” chore because of the benefits and praises we will laud on ourselves. We also cannot walk around with our heads in the sands of scriptures yet not doing the commands. James warns us about such. My brother, may we be hearers AND doers. May we be bondservants to the end…

    • A rich response….

“we need to walk in obedience and be willing to do whatever it is the Lord asks/commands us to do”

Divine BLESSINGS are ALWAYS attached to our obedience to the Lord’s commands. We MUST walk them out…Partial obedience is disobedience!!

“Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers..Deuteronomy 8:1

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God..Deuteronomy 28:1-2

    • “For when they went up to the Valley of Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, so that they did not go into the land which the Lord had given them. 10 So the Lord’s anger was aroused on that day, and He swore an oath, saying, 11 ‘Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me, 12 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, FOR THEY HAVE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD….Numbers 32:9-12
